The Riverside County Regional Medical Center - Arlington Campus is seeking a Nursing Assistant-Per Diem to support their Mental Health Acute (Unit B) located in Riverside. Under supervision, assists professional nursing personnel or other professional healthcare providers in providing basic patient care and treatment; observes patients via video monitoring equipment from a remote location; performs nonprofessional nursing duties in the care of physically and mentally ill patients; reports changes in patient condition or behavior promptly; participate in approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques and performs, other related duties as required. The Nursing Assistant is an entry-level classification and typically reports to appropriate supervisory or management-level nursing staff. Incumbents may be assigned to any outpatient clinic or inpatient nursing unit across the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) or within the Department of Public Health. The most competitive candidate acquires a Nursing Assistant Certification and has at least 6 months of experience in behavioral health, psychiatric or acute care setting. The position requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending and stooping, and assisting patients with activities of daily living. The role involves lifting and repositioning patients up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance, and safely performing approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques, including physical interventions when necessary. Schedule: Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM: 3/12 - Must be flexible to work any shift including weekends and holidays. - Work schedule and/or Shift Times subject to change upon operational needs. Salary Range: $28.700 Hourly Nursing Assistant Differentials: - Evening Shift Diff (3p - 11:30p) : $.60 for the time actually worked between the hours - Night Shift Diff (11:00p - 7:30a): $1.20 for the time actually worked between the hours Meet the Team!
