About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position is with CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Davies. This is a full-time, regular position with 8-hour night shifts, variable days, and every-other-weekend requirements. The role is non-exempt and scheduled for 32 hours per week. Employees may handle hazardous or potentially hazardous drugs in accordance with NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Hospital Assistant training or equivalent training as a nursing student.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care hospital or nursing student experience.
- Communication, organization, and relationship skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer hazardous or potentially hazardous drugs when required, in accordance with NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines.
