About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, personalized care to patients during their rehabilitation journey and assist registered nurses. The role involves helping patients with daily activities and treatments, supporting their recovery, and building relationships with patients and families. Nursing Assistants work as part of a supportive team and use specialized skills and technology to help patients pursue their rehabilitation goals.

Requirements

• North Carolina state-issued C.N.A. license.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience in an inpatient general hospital setting; preferred but not required.
• Experience with medically complex patients and sub-acute rehabilitation unit patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patients and treatments as needed.
• Help patients with daily personal activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Prepare and transport patients.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses.
• Build relationships with patients and their families and understand their needs to facilitate recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patient victories and milestones.
