Nursing Assistant 2D Neuro FT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its 2D Neuro unit. This full-time role is scheduled for 36 hours weekly on nights, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and is benefit eligible. Under general supervision and according to established procedures, the Nursing Assistant functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient-care unit maintenance tasks. The 2D Neuro unit provides care to adult patients with neuroscience diagnoses, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), seizures and epilepsy, degenerative neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, and other central nervous system disorders. The team works collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, providers, and ancillary staff to deliver personalized, patient-centered care. The unit is a certified Primary Stroke Center recognized for state-of-the-art stroke care and excellence in neuroscience nursing. The position is located at 1850 State Street, New Albany, Indiana, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Louisville. Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent, or CNA qualification; preferred but not required.
