About The Position
Work at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) on an inpatient Medical Surgical unit. You will be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses, providing care to both medical and surgical patients. This role involves direct physical care, basic nursing procedures, assisting with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, intentional rounding, and performing 12-lead ECGs. You will also interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to build trusting relationships and provide high-quality care.
Requirements
- Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program
- 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant
- Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire
- BLS/CPR certification within 3 months
Responsibilities
- Provide care to both medical and surgical patients on an inpatient Medical Surgical unit.
- Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, and patient mobility.
- Perform intentional rounding.
- Perform 12 lead ECGs.
- Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship.
