About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide. This program offers a pathway to a career in healthcare with paid training provided by Miller's Health Systems, a company that has been providing compassionate care since 1964 and is 100% employee-owned.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher.
• Must pass the first 16 hours of practicum with the instructor.
• Must have all skills checklists (RCPs) signed off.
• Must complete and submit a daily clinical sign-in record.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance are required to avoid dismissal.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance with organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed per test).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Successfully perform all required skills during the clinical practicum.
• Demonstrate and get signed off on all required skills checklists (RCPs) during clinicals.
• Complete a daily clinical sign-in record, including date, actual hours worked, student signature, and cosigned by a licensed supervisor.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Adhere to the facility's dress code requirements.
