Nursing Assistant - Neuroscience
About The Position
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Neuroscience team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. Neuroscience (7W) is a 28-bed neuroscience unit. We primarily care for strokes, seizures, and neurosurgery patients. This unit has hardwired telemetry. We are typically caring for patients in their post-acute phase. Safe, patient-centered care is the highest priority on 7W. Candidate should possess good critical thinking, and multitasking and prioritization skills. Candidate must have a clean work record with no “written warnings” within the last 6 months.
Requirements
- All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.
- Candidate must have a clean work record with no “written warnings” within the last 6 months.
- Good critical thinking, and multitasking and prioritization skills.
Nice To Haves
- Currently validated CPR skills preferred
