About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate care. The position is full-time on the day shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., in Erie, Pennsylvania. Compensation is $18.05–$22.00 per hour, based on experience. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing Assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Keep instruments and equipment, such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs, clean.
Maintain patients’ rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
