About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Canton is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients throughout their recovery. The role is full-time on days, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., in Canton, Ohio, and pays $17.50 to $21.76 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Certification as a nursing assistant.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
