About The Position

The Nursing Assistant II provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role supports patients with daily care activities, monitors vital signs, and helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and the healthcare team to support patient recovery and deliver compassionate care to patients and their families.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant program OR Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – State of Florida OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Graduate of an approved school of nursing OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or Medical Corpsman OR Internationally licensed medical personnel
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
• One year of healthcare experience within the past five years in a relevant healthcare setting (Experience may not be required for graduates of approved training programs)

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses and healthcare staff
• Participate in patient rounding and shift handoff reports
• Respond to patient call lights and requests
• Transport equipment, supplies, blood products, and medications (excluding controlled substances)
