About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant I at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Under the general supervision of an individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, the Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutritional support; maintains the patient environment; and assists licensed staff with related duties. This is a per-diem position with day/evening shifts and a weekend and holiday rotation. Pay is based on experience, with a listed range of $19.37–$26.80 per hour.
Requirements
- Education equivalent to completion of four years of high school, plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or equivalent is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or, once hired, sign a statement choosing exemption for medical or personal reasons.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program.
- Three months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
