About The Position
Southcoast Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant I at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Under the general supervision of an individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, the Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care and personal hygiene, supports mobility and nutrition, maintains the patient environment, and assists licensed staff with related duties. This is a per diem role with day and evening shifts and a weekend and holiday rotation. Pay is based on experience, with a stated range of $19.37–$26.80 per hour.
Requirements
- Education equivalent to completion of four years of high school, plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption and sign a statement electing exemption after hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program.
- Three months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
