About The Position
Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The description outlines care for various patient age groups and conditions across different units, including General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery), Pediatric, GI Lab Unit, Chemical Dependent Unit, Psychiatric Unit, and Emergency Unit. Surgical Services provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric. The role involves completing established competencies within the introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- BLS - Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
- 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures
Responsibilities
- Provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients under the direction/supervision of an RN.
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
