Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Adult Unit
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant works on the Adult Unit of Bellin Health’s inpatient facility, providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves conducting 15-minute patient checks, supporting admissions and discharges, escorting patients to meals, and assisting with general patient supervision, mealtimes, and visitation. The Nursing Assistant works as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Registered Nurses, Behavioral Health Specialists, LPNs, and Student Nurse Technicians. The position is based at 301 E St Joseph St, Green Bay, WI 54301, and is scheduled for 32–40 hours per week (0.80–1.0 FTE). The schedule includes a mix of day and p.m. shifts, with every other weekend required. Day shifts are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; p.m. shifts are 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Be listed on the State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry (WI TMU).
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old; high school students and applicants under 18 are not considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 15-minute checks of patients on the unit.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
- Walk patients to their meals.
- Assist with general supervision of patients on the unit.
- Aid in supervising patient mealtimes and visitation.
- Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses, Behavioral Health Specialists, LPNs, and Student Nurse Technicians.
