About The Position

This is a full-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) position available on the 3rd shift (NOC shift) at St. Luke’s Medical Center. Openings are available on several units, offering 8 or 12-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday rotation will be required. The role involves direct patient care, including assisting with daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs monitoring. CNAs also support nurses and doctors by setting up equipment, transporting patients, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean environment. Patient observation, documentation, and emotional support for patients and their families are key responsibilities. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help patients with mobility: turning, repositioning, and transferring between beds and wheelchairs.
  • Serve meals and assist with feeding if needed.
  • Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
  • Report any changes in a patient’s condition to nurses or doctors.
  • Set up medical equipment and assist during some procedures.
  • Transport patients to different departments (e.g., radiology, surgery).
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Monitor patients for signs of distress or changes in behavior.
  • Document care provided and communicate observations to the healthcare team.
  • Offer companionship and reassurance to patients.
  • Communicate with patients’ families and help them understand care routines.
