About The Position

Corewell Taylor ICU is a 16-bed Medical ICU that provides care for patients with a variety of medical diagnoses, including those requiring ventilator support, medication management, and surgery recovery. The role involves assisting physicians with bedside procedures and collaborating with Intensivists and multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care and updates. Taylor Hospital is a Magnet-designated facility, a healthcare leader since 1977, offering specialized services such as 24-hour emergency care, wound care, a surgical pavilion, and advanced diagnostic imaging.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Required by completion of orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Current CNA certification preferred.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
• Helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment.
• Contributes to effective communication regarding patient care and unit operations.
• Facilitates the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off the unit.
