Nursing Aide Rehab Inpatient
About The Position
Corewell Health is offering a part-time night position for a Nursing Aide on the Rehabilitation Inpatient unit. This unit is a 35-bed Patient Family Centered Care (PFCC) Rehabilitation Unit designed for patients with intensive therapy needs, providing a transitional setting between the hospital and home. Patients on this unit are medically stable, motivated, and able to tolerate three hours of therapy per day, five days a week. The average length of stay is between 12-14 days. The team includes patients, families, and various medical and case management professionals, working collaboratively on individualized treatment plans.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Required by completion of orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
- Current CNA certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
- Helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment.
- Contributes to effective communication regarding patient care and unit operations.
- Facilitates the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off the unit.
