About The Position
At Little Lights Nursery, we believe that even the smallest hearts can know God’s love. We are a Christian, faith-based nursery dedicated to providing a loving, safe, and engaging environment for children ages 0 to 6. Our mission is to plant the seeds of faith early through nurturing care, simple learning activities, and Biblical principles. Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable, warm-hearted Nursery Teacher to join our team! If you have a background in Early Childhood Education and a passion for caring for young children in a faith-filled environment, we would love to meet you. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading simple Bible-based activities and can commit consistently to Sundays and Thursdays, 4 hours per day.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in early childhood care, preschool, or church nursery
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom safety
- Comfortable incorporating Christian teachings and faith-based values
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic about working with children
Nice To Haves
- Background in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, age-appropriate care for children ages 0 to 6
- Lead simple faith-based activities, songs, and Bible lessons
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursery environment
- Change diapers, assist with toileting, and manage classroom transitions
- Engage with children through play, stories, and music
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Communicate kindly and professionally with parents and staff
- Arrive on time and be consistently present for assigned days
