About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy, a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, is seeking part-time Nursery/PK2 Caregivers for the 2026-2027 academic year. This on-site position involves working 14 hours per week in a classical and Catholic classroom environment located in Jacksonville, FL. While formal teaching experience or certification is not required, we are looking for individuals with a deep love for the Catholic faith and the ability to live it daily. The academy provides training on curriculum, classroom management, and RCA standards. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in homeschooling, childcare, parish ministry, Religious Education, or teaching in classical/private schools, though these are not mandatory. The position is hourly, with childcare provided for staff. Employees are required to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and complete a background check and mandatory training.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended hours throughout the work day.
  • Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
  • Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
  • Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
  • Must complete a background check and mandatory training.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good organization.
  • Timeliness.
  • A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and instruction in a Nursery/PK2 classroom.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of young children.
