About The Position

The Nursery Kitchen Assistant supports the day-to-day running of the nursery kitchen and helps prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children. The role supports children’s health, development and enjoyment of food while maintaining a safe, high-quality kitchen environment. The assistant works with the Nursery Chef to prepare and serve food, follow allergen and dietary requirements, and help create a positive mealtime experience. Training is provided, and previous nursery experience is not required.

Nice To Haves

Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks for children each day.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
Help with kitchen organisation, cleaning and stock rotation.
Support the Nursery Chef with food preparation and service.
Carefully follow all allergen and dietary requirements.
Contribute to a smooth and positive mealtime experience for children.
