About The Position

This is a part-time opportunity for a Nursery/Childcare Worker at Rancho Community Church and School in Temecula, CA. The role involves overseeing the needs, care, and safety of children, ensuring their spiritual, physical, and mental well-being. The ideal candidate will have a warm and welcoming attitude, enjoy working with children, and possess the ability to be flexible and problem-solve creatively in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include greeting and dismissing children and parents, leading daily activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and communicating effectively with parents and coworkers. The position requires CPR/First Aid certification, a negative TB screening, and passing a Live Scan criminal background check.

  • Willingness to be flexible with work schedule when necessary, including working Sundays and some holidays such as, but not limited to Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve, etc. as well as various special events such as, but not limited to VBS, Rancho Family Christmas, Patriotic Program, etc.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Care for the safety and spiritual, physical and mental well-being of the children
  • Cheerfully greet/dismiss children and parents at check-in and check-out
  • Lead assigned daily activities with children
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully, both orally and in writing, with parents and coworkers
  • Care for, sanitize and return all equipment to its proper place
  • Report any necessary repairs to Nursery Coordinator and/or Children’s Ministry Director
  • Read the Nursery handbook in its entirety and have a working knowledge of its contents
  • Page parents, as needed, in a timely manner
