Catholic Nursery Caregiver
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part-time Nursery Caregiver for their classical and Catholic Nursery space, located near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves caring for children aged infant through two years old for 14 hours per week. RCA is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. The positions are hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life. All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching at Regina Caeli Academy. All employees of Regina Caeli are required to have a clear background check.
Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended hours throughout the work day.
- Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
- Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
- Complete a background check.
- Complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

Responsibilities
