About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a compassionate and dependable RN or LPN to provide nursing care at its Prince Frederick, Maryland residential facility. Nurses help individuals begin recovery in a safe, supportive, and structured medical environment, providing care throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN license valid for practice in the state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
• Compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, or long-term care is welcomed; applicants seeking more meaningful patient care are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care to each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
