About The Position

Clarendale of Algonquin is recruiting a hospitality-focused Nurse to provide direct nursing care to senior residents and help oversee Caregivers’ efforts to ensure high-quality care. The role supports residents’ health, well-being, and independence while coordinating care with other members of the caregiving team.

The Nurse provides care in accordance with physicians’ orders, recognized nursing practices, established standards, and administrative policies. The position also participates in developing and monitoring resident care plans and reports resident and community updates to the Director of Health Services.

This is a full-time position. Shifts include 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Starting pay is $36.00 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the company’s employee benefit options.

Requirements

• Current valid Illinois nursing license (LPN or RN).
• Passion for helping people in a compassionate and empathetic way.
• Ability to collaborate as part of a care team.
• Willingness to be available for any or all emergencies in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to physicians’ orders and in compliance with recognized nursing practices, established standards, and administrative policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and family and social activities, and promote an independent lifestyle.
• Identify and report changes in residents’ medical and behavioral conditions.
• Participate in the development and monitoring of resident care plans according to assessed needs.
• Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services for residents.
• Coordinate nursing care with other departments, agencies, and participants in residents’ caregiving teams.
• Provide daily status reports to the Director of Health Services regarding community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and nursing supply needs.
• Help oversee Caregivers’ efforts to ensure residents receive high-quality care.
