About The Position

Clarendale of Algonquin is recruiting a hospitality-focused Nurse to provide direct nursing care to senior residents and help oversee Caregivers to ensure high-quality care. The Nurse provides care according to physicians’ orders and recognized nursing practices, supports residents’ daily living and independence, monitors their medical and behavioral condition, and contributes to individualized care planning. The role also coordinates care with other members of residents’ caregiving teams and provides daily status reports to the Director of Health Services.

Requirements

Current valid Illinois nursing license as an LPN or RN.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to helping people.
Ability to collaborate as part of a care team.
Willingness to be available for any or all emergencies in the community.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care according to physicians’ orders, recognized nursing practices, established standards, and administrative policies.
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and family and social activities, while promoting an independent lifestyle.
Identify and report changes in residents’ medical and behavioral condition.
Participate in developing and monitoring resident care plans based on assessed needs.
Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services for residents.
Coordinate nursing care with other departments, agencies, and participants in residents’ caregiving teams.
Provide daily status reports to the Director of Health Services about community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and nursing supply needs.
Help oversee Caregivers to support high-quality resident care.
Be available for any or all emergencies in the community.
