About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring nurses for the overnight shift (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) at its Fort Wayne residential facility, which provides drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. Nurses provide medical care throughout each client’s admission, treatment, and discharge, coordinate medication and pharmacy needs, collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams, maintain detailed medical records, and educate patients individually and in groups.
Requirements
- Complete a minimum one-year post-high-school diploma program.
- Hold a current RN or LPN license to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Be detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrate a compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care for clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
- Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
