Nurse Unit Manager
About The Position
NHC Mauldin is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to join their team. This role involves working with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure accurate patient assessments and the development/revision of individualized care plans. The Nurse Unit Manager will maintain open communication with patients and families, ensuring they are encouraged to participate in decision-making. This position also involves overseeing the provision of appropriate nursing care, assisting with medications and treatments, and supervising/coaching nurses and other nursing partners. The role requires participation in daily and monthly meetings and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. NHC is a leader in senior care and values honesty and integrity.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Current South Carolina Nursing (RN/LPN) license
- Preferred of 2 years of nursing experience with geriatric patients'
- Exhibits leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Working with the interdisciplinary care team, to assure accurate patient assessment and development/revision of individualized plans of care.
- Maintains open and ongoing communication with patients and families, providing opportunity and encouragement to participate in decision making.
- Assuring that appropriate nursing care is provided
- Assisting with medications and treatments
- Supervise and coaching of nurses and other nursing partners
- Participating in various meetings daily and monthly
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
