About The Position

TRIA is looking to hire an RN to join our orthopedic team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. This is a high-volume nurse triage position that works primarily out of the Epic In Basket, managing orthopedic patient phone calls, MyChart messages, and prescription refill requests for multiple west-side TRIA locations. In addition to triage responsibilities, the nurse will complete onsite MRSA swabs as needed.

Requirements

Graduated from a school of nursing.
Associate degree/diploma or higher required.
Maintain a current state certified registered nurse’s licensure.
BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served.
Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy.
Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse’s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients.
Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.
Manages orthopedic patient phone calls, MyChart messages, and prescription refill requests.
Completes onsite MRSA swabs as needed.
