About The Position
The Nurse Tech is responsible for assisting the delivery of basic nursing care under the direction and general supervision of a Registered Nurse. In complex patient situations the intern will work under the direct supervision of an RN. The Nurse Tech will not perform any procedure that requires licensing by the State (i.e. passing medications, nursing diagnosis, or admission assessment). Standards must comply with the State Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
- Must be a Junior or Senior in a nursing program.
- BLS required
Responsibilities
- Assisting the delivery of basic nursing care under the direction and general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Working under the direct supervision of an RN in complex patient situations.
- Not performing any procedure that requires licensing by the State (i.e. passing medications, nursing diagnosis, or admission assessment).
- Complying with State Nurse Practice Act standards.
