About The Position

The Nurse Technician (Nurse Tech) role at Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a PRN position involving 12-hour shifts. Located in western Kentucky, Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107-bed acute care hospital providing a comprehensive range of services including emergency care, surgical services, intensive care, cardiology, women’s services, and diagnostic imaging. Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually.

Nice To Haves

• SRNA or EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Support nurses with basic patient care tasks and clinical procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
• Provide compassionate patient interaction while ensuring comfort and addressing basic needs.
