Our Med Surg and Inpatient Rehabilitation teams are dedicated to helping patients heal, regain strength, and return to the highest level of independence possible. As a Nurse Tech, you'll be a valued member of the care team, working closely with nurses, providers, therapists, and support staff to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients throughout their recovery journey. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation.
  • Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings.
  • Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
  • Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
  • Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput.
  • Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
  • Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
