About The Position
3AB and 4AB are two medical-surgical units located within the beautiful Blodgett Hospital. Our patient population provides team members with the opportunity to care for a wide variety of medical conditions and diagnoses, with a primary focus on internal medicine. At Blodgett Hospital, nurses frequently care for high-acuity patients, providing valuable opportunities to strengthen acute-care assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Work Equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
Responsibilities
- Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
- Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
- Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
- Taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
- Ensures that the required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
