About The Position

We provide inpatient bedside care for mainly the General Medical Patient Population, which could be patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, pneumonia, cellulitis, kidney failure, hyperglycemia, Diabetic Issues, Ulcers, Confused Elderly, Alcohol Abuse, Acute/Chronic Kidney Injury, Sepsis, Psychiatric Population. The Nurse Tech role will require 3-4 weekdays of classroom time with our Nurse Educators. These are pre-scheduled and required WEEKDAY classes that will require attendance 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification is not required due to the extensive amount of orientation/on the job training provided

Responsibilities

• Taking vitals
• Checking blood sugars
• Bed baths
• Ambulating
• Wound care
• Catheterization
• Acting as a safety attendant for patients
• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team
