About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is seeking compassionate, dependable, and team-focused Nurse Techs to join their clinical teams across multiple communities in Bellevue, Papillion, and Gretna. Nurse Techs play a crucial role in ensuring residents and guests feel safe, supported, and cared for. Working collaboratively with nurses and other clinical staff, you will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, build meaningful relationships, and uphold the mission of inspiring people to live their best lives. This role involves providing respectful, dependable, and person-centered care, prioritizing each resident's comfort, dignity, safety, and independence.

Requirements

  • Active Nebraska CNA certification required.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or must be obtained within the established Hillcrest timeframe.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to safely assist residents and guests with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
  • Must be flexible and calm when supporting residents, guests, families, and team members during stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems, technology, and available resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Must follow established infection-control, safety, and clinical procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous direct-care, senior living, long-term care, post-acute, assisted living, or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents and guests with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, and other personal-care needs.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance.
  • Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility according to individual care needs.
  • Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
  • Observe residents and guests for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, or mobility.
  • Promptly communicate concerns or changes to the appropriate nurse.
  • Assist with meals, snacks, hydration, and other dining needs.
  • Help residents and guests maintain as much independence as possible while providing appropriate support.
  • Assist with linens, beds, resident rooms, and other care-area needs.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Follow individualized care plans and established clinical procedures.
  • Maintain resident and guest privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and resident-handling standards.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, team members, residents, guests, and families.
  • Help create a calm, welcoming, and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to keep care running smoothly.
  • Assist with additional resident-care responsibilities as assigned.
