About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Nurse Techs to join our overnight team at Hillcrest Millard in Omaha, NE. Hillcrest Millard provides post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care in a modern, supportive environment focused on helping guests and residents recover, maintain independence, and feel comfortable and cared for. As a Nurse Tech, you will help bring that mission to life by providing hands-on care, supporting daily routines, and helping guests and residents feel safe, respected, and comfortable throughout the night.

Requirements

  • Active Nebraska CNA certification required.
  • Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to safely assist guests and residents with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
  • Must be flexible and calm when responding to guest, resident, family, or team needs.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
  • Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology.
  • Must follow established infection-control, safety, and care procedures.
  • Must be available to work an every-other-weekend rotation.
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or a similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality personal care and daily living support for guests and residents.
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, and other personal-care needs.
  • Support guests and residents with bedtime routines, nighttime needs, and early-morning care.
  • Assist with meals, snacks, hydration, and other daily needs as appropriate.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance.
  • Help guests and residents feel safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for.
  • Observe for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and communicate concerns to the nurse.
  • Follow individualized care plans and resident or guest preferences.
  • Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility as needed.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow established infection-control, safety, and care procedures.
  • Support a calm, comfortable, and safe overnight environment.
  • Build positive relationships with guests, residents, families, and fellow team members.
  • Jump in and help wherever needed to keep care running smoothly.
