About The Position
The Nurse Technician (NT) acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. The NT cleans the patient’s environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel. The NT demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior and advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data. The role will begin with 2 days of training in a simulation center and 1 day of EPIC training with our Nurse Educators. These are prescheduled classes from 8 am to 4:30 pm. These in person classes are on weekdays during week 1 of employment. Because these classes are prescheduled, you must attend all full days, and we cannot reschedule any of the required dates if you cannot attend. Attendance is compensated, as it is required for compliance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Within 90 Days
