This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN with exceptional clinical, leadership and communication skills for a full-time, temporary (12 months) Nurse Team Lead role. As one of three Team Leads in the Medical Withdrawal Service (MWS), you will report to the MWS Manager, and work collaboratively with the MWS and Addiction Program leadership groups. The Team Leads support leadership to anticipate needs on this 3-floor inpatient unit over time and collaborate with the unit’s interprofessional team to provide effective coordination of client/patient-centered care, consistent with CAMH’s vision and strategic directions. The Team Leads will work in tandem to assume responsibility for the communication, liaison and coordination of client/patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and appointments during the assigned shifts and for future shifts as appropriate. Through its core values of Courage, Respect and Excellence, CAMH is implementing its Strategic Plan: Connected CAMH, to transform lives, ignite innovation and discovery, revolutionize education and drive social change. CAMH is more than a hospital, it is a cause. CAMH is on a mission to change the way society thinks about and responds to mental illness. They aim to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and shape a world where mental illness is central to our healthcare system – a world where Mental Health is Health.
