About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and operational oversight within a busy Emergency Department. The Nurse Supervisor will support patient care excellence, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with nurse managers and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification through NYSED
Current BLS Certification
Minimum seven (7) years of nursing experience
Minimum five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role
Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Nursing
Previous Emergency Department leadership experience
Strong performance management and staff development skills
Experience with quality improvement and patient safety programs

Responsibilities

Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance
Monitor patient care quality and nursing performance metrics
Conduct unit assessments alongside nurse managers
Assist with corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives
Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling activities
Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
Support staff education, mentoring, and professional development
Collaborate with leadership to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting processes
