About The Position
Be the steady hand on the unit. As a Nurse Supervisor, you coordinate care, mentor the team, and keep the milieu calm, safe, and moving forward—no matter what the shift brings —bringing steady energy and teamwork to our busiest hours.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2+ years inpatient psych or emergency psych experience
- Calm communicator with strong critical-thinking skills.
- Must be 21 or older
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- prior charge experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift clinical leader: assign staff, prioritize admissions/discharges, and coordinate with intake and ED transfers.
- Support RNs/LPNs with assessments, med administration, restraint/seclusion per policy, and timely documentation.
- Lead real-time de-escalation and code responses; ensure post-event debriefs and learning.
- Validate rounds, safety checks, and environment-of-care standards; escalate facilities/security needs.
- Precept new hires and students; champion competencies and policy adherence.
- Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving.
- Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.
