About The Position

As a Nurse Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in supporting high-quality reproductive and sexual health care services across multiple health centers. This position combines hands-on patient care with clinical leadership, allowing you to mentor nursing staff, support operational excellence, and make a meaningful impact on patient experiences every day. You will collaborate closely with the Nursing Director while helping foster a compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN compact license with the ability to practice in NC, SC, and VA.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in abortion services.
  • Experience in a GYN setting.
  • Emergency Room (ER) experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Nursing Director in recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating nursing staff.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and coaching to support staff development and clinical excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational protocols, patient rights, HIPAA requirements, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including recovery room coverage and support during abortion and medical procedures.
  • Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs, and complete required clinical documentation.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and support providers during procedures and emergency situations.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, emergency drills, and staff meetings.
  • Support after-hours and daytime patient emergency call systems, documenting interactions appropriately in the EMR/EHR.
  • Provide North Carolina state-mandated informed consent for abortion services in accordance with state law.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory, emergency equipment logs, and a clean, safe patient care environment.
  • Serve as Nursing Director designee when needed.
