About The Position

Central State Hospital is hiring a Nurse Supervisor position. This role involves coordinating hospital functions and nursing services, including scheduling, job assignments, responding to call-ins, responding to codes, assuring appropriate staff levels, and working on patient units. The supervisor will respond to all psychiatric/medical emergencies, AWOLs, disasters, and general safety issues. They will follow Hospital policies for Incident Management and confer with the Administrator on Call as directed. Responsibilities include monitoring patient care/unit conditions, conferring with Nurse Managers regarding patient/unit concerns, providing coverage on patient care units as needed, assisting with employee training, coordinating Performance Improvement projects on assigned shifts, and attending nursing meetings as requested/required. The role also requires meeting medical record and departmental documentation requirements, completing assignments within established timeframes, and completing all annually required training within specified timeframes.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold a Kentucky Registered Nurse license or a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
  • One year of experience as a supervisor
  • Must have and maintain active and valid driver’s license

Benefits

  • Shift differential (10% hourly wage increase from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and 12% hourly wage increase from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • Additional $1.00 hourly wage increase on weekends
