About The Position

The Nurse Supervisor provides leadership in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, helping ensure nursing procedures are implemented and that patients receive high-quality, compassionate, individualized care. The role supervises nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or on a specific unit, and serves as a liaison among administration, nursing management, and staff. The Nurse Supervisor also supports personalized patient care programs and may provide direct patient care as needed, building relationships with patients and supporting their recovery.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• BLS certification.
• Obtain ACLS certification within one year of starting the position.
• Obtain CRRN certification within one year of meeting the eligibility requirements.
• Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting within the last five years.
• Previous leadership experience, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, involving interim reporting, issue resolution, setting direction, and accountability for patient and staff results.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitor and manage staff, including providing immediate feedback, conducting annual evaluations, and administering performance counseling and discipline.
• Assume patient care responsibilities as needed and understand patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
• Celebrate patients’ progress and achievements.
