About The Position

Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join their team. This role involves ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care according to established standards, policies, and objectives. The RN Supervisor will assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and performance improvement efforts, while also supervising staff on their shift. Responsibilities include providing direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians, continuously assessing patients' physical and psychological conditions, and utilizing the nursing process. The role emphasizes upholding a safe therapeutic environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
  • Able to produce a valid Georgia State RN license.
  • A minimum of three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
  • CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior, including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment and before assisting in restraining procedures.
  • Exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in stressful situations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.
  • Assisting in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performances Improvement efforts.
  • Providing supervision to staff assigned to his/her shift.
  • Actively engage in the health care team, offering both direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians.
  • Assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients continuously throughout their care journey.
  • Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SPBH.
  • Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in our core values.
  • Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.
