About The Position

Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for their Long Term Care facility. This role is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service. The facility aims to provide a warm and caring environment with amenities designed to encourage social interaction and private time, helping residents stay mentally and physically active. As part of West Michigan’s largest health care system, the long-term care programs offer access to award-winning health care. The Nurse Supervisor will oversee registered nurse and licensed practical clinical practices and may participate in on-call duties and assume House Supervisor roles as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of LPN license with a solid clinical background and supervisory/management experience.
• 1+ years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Preferred.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service.
• Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with unit leaders to ensure the highest quality services are always provided to all customers.
• Assists with department-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships.
• Provide oversight to the registered nurse and licensed practical clinical practices.
• Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
• Assume House Supervisor role as needed.
