Schedule: Monthly scheduling, Float shift based on scheduling needs. As a Registered Nurse (Float) at Royal Oaks Hospital, you’ll provide compassionate, professional care across multiple units and age groups. In this dynamic role, you’ll use your clinical skills and adaptability to support patients through moments of crisis and recovery—helping young people move toward wellness and stability. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required
  • RN or GN that must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred
  • Have a calm, compassionate approach to caring for patients in crisis
  • Excel in fast-changing environments and enjoy the variety of a float role
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team
  • Take pride in maintaining high standards of clinical and professional practice

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in a psychiatric hospital setting
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate holistic patient care
  • Promote patient and family education to encourage understanding and engagement in treatment
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff and new employees
  • Support the hospital’s commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and professional development
  • Demonstrate flexibility by covering a variety of shifts and units as needed
