About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, the Charge Nurse directs, coordinates, and controls the nursing activities of their assigned staff. This role assists the Supervisor in evaluating assigned staff and completing assigned projects. The Registered Nurse provides care for a group of patients utilizing the Nursing Process, ensuring assignments are appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Responsibilities include maintaining nursing schedules and orienting new employees.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate's Degree.
• Adheres to hospital and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care.
• Familiar with patient care equipment.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• BLS from the American Heart Association is required for all areas.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing (required within three (3) years of hire or transfer for new hires effective June 14, 2017).
• BSN degree.
• Professional certification.
