The Nurse Representative is responsible for representing WSNA and nurses in all activities of the Labor Executive Council (LEC) program. This role involves collaborating with labor counsel on negotiations and arbitration, investigating and processing grievances, and serving as a resource for local unit members. The representative will also work with local unit leaders on contract administration and professional activities, stay informed on relevant laws and regulations, and develop training programs. Additionally, they will promote relationships with other groups supporting nurses, meet with employer representatives, provide information for WSNA publications, and visit clinical settings to observe work conditions and meet with members.
