About The Position

JARS Cannabis is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Retail Representative for the D.C. community. This role involves being the face of JARS, ensuring exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge. Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in retail, sales, or hospitality.
Must be eligible to obtain a D.C. Medical Cannabis Employee Registration, including a Certificate of Clean Hands (no debts over $1,000 to the District).
Exceptional communication skills and basic math proficiency.
Must be willing to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Mandatory Training: In addition to our JARS University culture and mock-store training, all successful candidates must complete the D.C. Board-approved cannabis training program required for ABCA registration before their first day on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

Assess customer needs, provide appropriate product knowledge, and conduct transactions with accuracy.
Utilize suggestive selling and upselling strategies to meet location goals.
Follow all safety and ABCA (Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration) rules and policies.
Assist with inventory tasks and record transactions accurately in the POS system.
Maintain neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the sales floor; perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
Maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers at all times.
Other duties as assigned by management.
