The Nurse Practitioner is accountable to facilitate a quality hospital experience and outcome for patients within a cost-effective time frame. Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, and in cooperation with the Director, Diagnostic Imaging, and Diagnostic Imaging Manager, is responsible for coordinating patient care activities for select at risk individuals with clinically significant cancers. The Nurse Practitioner at the Breast Imaging Center facilitates the experience and outcomes for patients on the continuum from screening to diagnosis to breast cancer treatment. Acts as an educator, consultant, and liaison to healthcare providers caring for the patients across the care continuum.
