About The Position

Esse Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for its Gastroenterology Consultants office. This is an outpatient-focused clinical practice opportunity with a collaborative team, emphasizing direct patient care, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, and patient education. The role involves working closely with a physician partner and other healthcare team members, with accurate documentation in the electronic health record (NextGen).

Requirements

Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Missouri (or eligibility)
Certified Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility)
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to patients in a GI setting
Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physician partner
Emphasize preventive care, wellness, and patient education
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
Coordinate care with specialists and other members of the healthcare team
Participate in quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
